  • Yes, we almost always do. Window openings are designed to be serviced from the inside, as screens typically install from within the home. For screen doors and storm doors, we need inside access to ensure a proper fit and to check latch and lock functionality.

Screen Doors & Storm Doors

  • We provide full piano hinge swinging screen doors, sliding patio screen doors, retractable screens, storm doors, and in-screen pet doors.

  • Storm doors provide added insulation, protect your main door from weather damage, and can offer ventilation with built-in screens. They can also help regulate indoor temperatures by reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. We currently offer the highest quality storm doors on the market in 33 different colors.

Screens, Shades & Energy Efficiency

  • Solar and roll-down shades help keep your home cool by blocking UV rays and reducing indoor temperatures, which means your air conditioner doesn’t have to work as hard—helping lower your energy bills. They also protect furniture and flooring from fading and provide added privacy. Motorized options offer convenience and automation for improved efficiency and can be integrated into modern smart homes.

  • Yes! Screens allow fresh air to circulate while keeping out bugs and debris. Natural ventilation can improve indoor air quality and reduce reliance on air conditioning.

  • Retractable awnings and exterior roll-down shades can lower indoor temperatures by several degrees by blocking heat before it enters your home. This reduction in heat gain can lead to significant savings on your energy bills, especially during peak summer months.

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Gently clean screens with mild soap and water, using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water sprays to prevent damage.

  • We do not offer screen patching services. If a screen is damaged, we recommend a full rescreening to ensure durability and a clean, professional appearance.

  • In many cases, new screens can last 10-20+ years, depending on exposure to the elements. The primary factor in screen damage is prolonged exposure to harmful sun rays, which can cause the mesh to weaken over time. The manufacturer’s warranty on screen mesh covers 10 years against weathering and wear, but accidental punctures are not covered.

  • Over time, window screens wear out due to sun exposure, weather, and general use. Signs that your screens may need replacing include:

    • Brittle or Cracking Mesh – If the screen feels stiff, crumbles to the touch, or has visible cracks, it has likely been damaged by sun exposure.

    • Tears or Holes – Even small holes can let in bugs and reduce the screen’s effectiveness.

    • Loose or Sagging Mesh – Screens should be taut. If the mesh is stretched out or loose in the frame, it won’t provide proper protection.

    • Faded or Discolored Material – Sun damage can cause mesh to fade or turn gray, reducing durability.

    • Damaged or Bent Frames – If the screen frame is warped, dented, or difficult to reinstall, it may not fit properly anymore.

    • Poor Visibility & Reduced Airflow – If the screen is clogged with dirt, dust, or pollen and won’t clean up well, replacing it can restore clear views and better airflow.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s a good idea to replace your screens to maintain proper ventilation, bug protection, and curb appeal.
